From ESPN By Kevin Seifert ESPN Staff Writer

“In a statement, NFL executive vice president of football operations Troy Vincent said: ‘Sarah Thomas has made history again as the first female Super Bowl official. Her elite performance and commitment to excellence has earned her the right to officiate the Super Bowl. Congratulations to Sarah on this well-deserved honor.'”   For Mr. Seifert’s full story, FOLLOW THIS LINK ……….   From SCC: Congratulations to Ms. Thomas for being able to not just work hard and be good enough to perform at the highest levels of her profession, but to get to see and experience the fruit of her labor AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF HER PROFESSION. ALSO, to have this opportunity to inspire young girls who have their eye on a similar professional “prize” – not to mention the grown-up Girls everywhere who are encouraged by the fact of yet another woman accomplishing that which was otherwise only done by men. Thank you, Sarah Thomas…and, again, CONGRATULATIONS. P.S. Couldn’t find a free photo (wiki commons) photo of her, so…sorry for the lame (NOT HER) image here. lol
